Check the model number on the data plate before trusting any code on this page. The first digit is how many times the LED flashes and the second digit is which fault within that group, so six-two is not the same as sixty-two and the two are not interchangeable. The manufacturer writes them out as words for exactly this reason.

How to read this code
The gas control on this unit has one green LED and it reports faults by flashing a number with a three second pause between repeats, so you count the flashes and then read the number. A count of one to five is a single digit, and the two digit codes are a count followed by a position: six-one is six flashes, a pause, then one. Anything that is a steady single flash every two seconds, or a heartbeat that brightens and dims, is normal operation and not a fault. The absence of any light is not a code either, it means the unit has no power.
